Happy birthday, nineoaks

How very remiss of us, nineoaks, not to have given you your own birthday thread.

Allow me to put that right and be the first to wish you a

Very happy 60th birthday!

Happy birthday, 9O! I beat you over the 60-year line, but I'm willing to slow down and let you catch up ;) ! I hope your day is a good one...

I beat you over the line, too, 9oaks, but just barely!

Hope you're having a great day, and looking forward to your seventh decade.

Happy birthday, nineoaks!

Delinquent people like me should be *excuse enough* to prolong the party, right? :D

Definitely, Alar - let's stretch the celebrations out as long as possible.

Happy Birthday, Nineoaks!

Dear Chi-friends:

Thanks so very much for all the thoughtful birthday wishes.

I did have a lovely day. My students threw a surprise party for me. I teach mostly (adult) Spanish speakers, and one of the perks is never being allowed to pay for dinner in any local Mexican restaurant :). However, yesterday was extra-special: the whole restaurant was reserved for us! Delicious birthday posole, lots of good cheer, chatter and friendship.

Now, if I could just think of the one remaining common word for today's Chi!

Thanks again, and all best wishes to each of you,

Nineoaks

Dear Steadyguy:

I am notorious for sending 'belated' b'day wishes. So much so that my family has come to understand that I celebrate the 'birthday season,' not the day :)
I'll accept any and all good wishes!!

Thanks,

nineoaks
