Thanks mates.  I am working on my birthday but will be going out for a meal and a glass or two to celebrate in the evening!  Also, wedding anniversary coming up soon so we've booked a rather grand hotel in Edinburgh for a (hopefully) 4 night luxury break early May.  I'll bring you back some shortbread and whisky!!

Happy birthday Linda - oh by the way, Scottish shortbread really welcome.  Should I send you my address so it arrives at the right place?  Forget the whisky - I don't drink it.  Think of the savings on the postage.  It's heaps heavier than biscuits

Hello geo ... long time since we chatted!  I don't drink whisky either - vile stuff - but if I go to Krakow (which I am sort of planning on) will send you some Polish vodka - yum!  Bridesmaid dress now starting to look rather tatty and gathering dust in my wardrobe!  Get a move on!!

Thank you very much, AQ.  Looking forward to both, especially the Edinburgh break - our hotel room has a four poster bed!  It will just be nice to have a few days away and no work or chores to contend with.

Note to Alan:  The upcoming birthdays notice almost makes it look like I am 60, too!  Not that there's anything wrong in being 60, natch!  Just for the record, I haven't reached that magnificent milestone just yet .... just look like I have sometimes!
