Happy early birthday!!!!

I'll be out of town this weekend at a wedding, so I won't be able to wish you well on the actual day.

And T, I'm embarrassed to admit it took me a very long time to figure out what HBTY stood for, even after reading this thread!

Maybe you have created a new Chi acronym......HEBTY...........(if you deliberate too long on this one, then we may have to take disciplinary action against you >:D)

Happy Birthday AQ.

Thank you,  anonsi  and  Steadyguy.

Perhaps  HBTY  will become yet another expression used by people who text and/or write messages where a minimal number of characters are required.

I am sure you are right. HBTY and HEBTY are destined to be used forever, and all instigated in Lexi. This is probably undeniable proof of the fact that:-

Lexi leads, others follow!!! ;D

Oh dear, maybe there is a problem with 'HEBTY' >:(.

Can one actually have an 'early birthday'? As it is the 'Happy Birthday To You' which is early, then really it is 'EHBTY' which should be our new acronym. This is perhaps not so good.
Maybe an early birthday greeting could be an 'EHBTY',pronounced AyBtee? ???

Well it's now the 19th, where I am, so I can give my salutation without having to worry about placing any 'E'.

Thank you  Alan  for  Many Happy Returns of the Day!

I never thought I would be one to understand some of these abbreviations...

technomc

HUBTY could also stand for  Happy Unbirthday To You,  which is,  of course,  valid all days of the year except one.

Regarding the question of HEBTY,  I have always thought that one might celebrate one's birthday for a few days before, during, and after the actual day.

Which would mean we might need   HLBTY  as well.

Happy Birthday To YOU, Alonzo!

(I don't mind typing out the whole message  >:D)

And, as an extra bonus, I would like to remind everyone that today is not only AQ's birthday, but it is also International Talk Like a Pirate Day!

Aarrggh!

Happy Birthday to you, Alonzo!  And even on the day itself!  It's a beautiful day here in the tri-state area - hope you get out to enjoy it.
