Challenge Puzzle for Wednesday 8 April
« on: April 09, 2009, 10:00:35 AM »
I was surprised 'sext' was accepted but 'nones' was not. In my (not so humble  >:D ) opinion, either both should be acceptable or neither should be. In fact, I think 'tierce', 'sext', and 'nones' should all be treated alike (just like Greek letters!). The other minor hour, 'prime', having a different and more common usage, doesn't fit with the others. What, O Wordmaster, doth thou think?

Hi, TRex! Alan has already ruled on nones. See https://theforum.lexigame.com/index.php/topic,1376.0.html. He approved it for the list but just hasn't gotten around to adding it yet.

While it's technically true to say that I haven't got around to adding nones to the word list, it's more accurate to say that I'd completely forgotten about it. So thanks for raising the issue again, TRex, and apologies to Tom44, who suggested it originally.

I'll make sure it goes into the next update of the list.
