Seems like many chi players got rosettes this game - well done everone!
Whats the record for rosettes awarded in any one game?

Smaug, if my memory serves me correctly, there were 45 rosettes in the Standard puzzle for 6 September 2007! The nine-letter word was defrauded. (Talk about puzzle words being topical - that was just as the banking crisis was beginning to unfold.)

To put that in context, the average number of rosettes over the past two years was about 12 in the Standard puzzle and about 7 in the Challenge. There have been only 12 puzzles (3 Standard and 9 Challenge) in which nobody got a rosette.

I'm intrigued by the thought of puzzles where no one got the rosette, Alan. What were some of the words?
