Maybe you could take out an ad in the Village Voice, T.

T, it occurs to me that my previous post, about taking an ad in the Village Voice, could be taken the wrong way by anyone familiar with that paper's reputation for kinky personal ads. Believe it or not, I didn't have those ads in mind at all. I was simply trying to make the point that I was surprised you were posting so much detail about your plans on a public forum.

On the other hand, if you do want to put a personal ad in the Voice, that's entirely your own business.

Gosh, Alan, now you're inspiring me to go look at the Village Voice's ads.  I think the only ones I checked were the real estate ones, which used to be much more useful than the NYTimes ads, because the Voice came out on Thursday, so you could get a jump on checking apartments on the weekend.

Don't worry about TMI, T - they don't know your real name!

TMI  =  too much information

The Milford Plaza is a very nice hotel in midtown Manhattan.  It is not too far from all the main midtown sites that you may likely wish to see.  I don't think you have anything to worry about.  It should be safe and clean with a clientele of respectable guests.

Regarding the advertisments in the  Village Voice,  some of them border on the naughty.  (I should say that I haven't actually looked at the  Village Voice  in a couple of years, but they have always been quite liberal.)

It's a pretty nice hotel, T.  They're going through a bit of a renovation right now. Which I didn't notice other than they had terrible internet service. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay. PLUS, I got free truffles! (I'm easily pleased.)  I found their elevators to be very unique, as you entered your floor number into a keypad before you got on the elevator.  As AQ says, it's not too far from anything.

Oh I know just how you are feeling T!  Is there anything in the world better than being on the brink of a holiday to some place you have always wanted to see?  Just reading your posts makes me remember those good times.  Have fun girl!
