Don't think we make Chablis here.  Sauvignon Blanc is my white of choice, but only in summer, midday...if I'm not into G+Ts!

Obviously a girl after my own heart, Toni!!  I love Sauvignon Blanc ... don't drink midday though, sends me to sleep and Heavens knows I'm dozy enough without any extra help!!  However, I could just drink a G+T right now ... lots of ice, no lemon, maybe a slice of lime, swizzle stick .... yum!!  >:D

Bit chilly here.  For me G+T is a summer drink, but I love lemon in it too

Oooh yes,  got a bit fuddled one winter night party drinking "sprinboks"  (a mix of Amarula cream and peppermint liqueur). Sheer heaven!

It's a cream liqueur made from the berries of the Marula tree.  They grow wild in our northern (hot) regions.  When the berries fall they begin to ferment and the elephants come to eat them and get tiddly.  I don't think they can be cultivated, but I'm not sure.

Sort of like Baileys, but theres a fruit hint, but not like any kind of fruit I can describe.  I have never seen a marula fruit in the flesh, although I've seen pics, and I don't know what it tastes like or even if one eats them like other fruit.

But T! Think of the economic possibilities!  How many liters of milk must an elephant produce daily?  Elephant steaks must satisfy the hungriest Texan (or South African) and not only that, elephants can be put to work in between milking and before becoming steak.  I see definite investment possibilities here!

Just hadn't considered those aspects, but will now have to rethink our position on the usefulness of elephants.  We have hired a government consultant who has added a couple of other benefits:  produces large amounts of organic fertilizer, and biofuel potential.  And fashion accessories:  handbags, shoes, especially for people with big feet, umbrella stands, coat hooks and towel rods, not to mention very long false eyelashes\1
