Nonsense solutions
« on: June 12, 2024, 04:57:29 PM »
Has anyone else found themselves, in the desperate struggle to discover the 9 or 10 letter seed word, generating one or more nonsense combinations of letters that look as if they could possibly form a bona fide word? I've just had several such instances in the 2024/06/12 Challenge puzzle before finding the actual solution. :)

Remind me to post examples once the expiry time arrives. :)

Yep, sometimes you kind of convince yourself that it’s a word! And I’m hopeless at sayings/proverbs, I’m always mixing them up. For years I thought the saying “Busier than a cat burying shit” was “Busier than a cat bearing shit”, which as my husband often points out is ridiculous. Does the cat have a silver tray with its shit proudly displayed??

Has this puzzle expired for everyone now? Only it's listed as expired for my time zone ...

The puzzles turn over simultaneously everywhere, Cal. The Challenge at 16.00 UTC, regardless of local clock time.
