Me too, i'm soooo curious to see if it is the same word that i cant find.

Such a shame, but your run had to come an end sometime.
I think that it will be a very long time before anyone comes even close to either of your P.B's.

I reckon, not fair, to class it as common.

Thanks mate, but i have to admit that i am only there by accident as i have persevered a lot longer than normal & " guessed " heaps of rare words in my desperate search for that final common word. ( my hit rate is sitting at 22 % )
I have no doubt that i will slip a long way down that scoreboard before the game closes but at least i have had my " 5 minutes of fame ".
It all comes back to why this thread was created... I see other club members putting up outstanding performances day after day which inspires me to think to myself that if i just put in a little more time & effort then there is no reason that i cannot match those efforts.
The elite players are gracious enough to disclose the words that they have missed & when i sometimes see that they are not the same words that i have missed then that gives me the impetus to keep trying to match those players.
I love the challenge & competition but it is not all about the " competition " for me, it is more about improving my game, having friendly rivalries & most importantly making new friends.

Sorry John, i forgot to tag it onto the end of my last post.
I missed cirrus & sinusitus.

My crisis now is that i am suffering a serious case of last word syndrome in the current game.

Should Mike's run end at 42, there will be a thorough " stewards " inquest. :police:

Well done to all of those who managed to bounce back with rosettes in yesterday's game.
Although not a club member (yet ), 2dognight ( Carol ) must get a special mention as i think it has been quite some time since her last rosette?

The thing that has stood out to me recently has been the consistently high scoring of both doxydaisy & rogue mother on the open scoreboard.
Doxydaisy has had a couple of second placings recently & rogue mother is always there abouts so it makes me wonder if either of you have ever managed to actually top that scoreboard & if the answer is no then i am predicting that it will happen sooner or later.
Either way please do keep up the good work because weather you realise it or not, you are improving the games of your army of followers as they try to match your efforts.

Mike  collects consecutive rosette number 22.

Similar to Maud & HJ, i missed a couple that i should have found but would never have found catalytic or tactility unless by accident.

Tough standard game this morning!

It seems like some promising rosette runs came to a sudden halt in this game which just makes Mike's incredible effort all the more amazing as he moves to number 21.

Hungarian John, congratulations on achieving your first hat trick, such a hard target to attain in this very difficult game. ( just ask Maud )
I cannot keep track of everyone but i am pretty sure that Stan & June & there are probably some others that will be chasing their own hat tricks in the next game so hopefully they will let us all know how they went.

My intent in creating this thread was just to enhance the underlying " competition " that already exists, to get to know a little bit about the players behind the obscure user names & to create a bit of interest & discussion about the 7bm game in general.
I just want to acknowledge performances that are above & beyond any particular players regular efforts & encourage everyone to share their frustrations & triumphs. ( it is not bragging )
I think that it is beneficial to all involved to share missed words etc.. as all of the discussion ultimately leads to inspiring everyone to ultimately improve their own game.
My next " triumph " will be my next rosette ( if & when it ever comes ) & i'll be unashamedly shouting from the rooftops when it happens.

It's great to see so many players doing so well in these very difficult games.
In fact the standout from yesterday's scoreboards was the very small number of us that actually failed to gain a rosette or a maven.
I missed allay & papacy. ( both words that i would normally find ? )

Mike cruises along to his 20th consecutive rosette... anymore guesses on his final total ... so far we have Les guessing 33, Ann 45 & Gareth 50.

Lots of great results in this game & i congratulate all of those players who did so well.
The highlight was no doubt the impressive double of ozzyjack but the most pleasing for me was to see both Yelnats & ozzyjune break their recent rosette droughts. (there may yet be some hope for me )

Mike reaches number 19.

I don't know enough obscure words to get into maven territory and beyond, so I've decided to concentrate on my short game "! :D

Sounds like a good strategy, especially as you have such a good "short game".
