The standout from yesterday's game was the brilliant double from Gareth.
I am loathe to draw attention to the other obvious standout which was myself being the only player that could not find the seed word.

missed PUSSES, cost me a rosette. Particularly annoying as I played pusser and pussier.
Mike marches on, the only one of the club to get a rosette, well done.

Actually Gareth, Rose also had a rosette in this game as well as a maven.
I just sit back & watch in awe as Mike consistently rolls out rosette after rosette.

Thanks for all of the feedback, i am now satisfied that ganja & jingo are classified correctly.
Doggo was challenged by Yelnats in 2018...decision pending.

Good on you John, very well done, sorry for not noticing your first double, thanks for letting us know as it a feat that deserves due acknowledgement.

I did not play ganja, jingo or doggo.
None of these words are common to me, particularly jingo & doggo.
I would appreciate any opinions before i submit a formal challenge to Alan for a reclassification.

Doxydaisy, so close to topping the open scoreboard.
Mkenuk, so close to topping the closed scoreboard.

Bluenose was the last " big word " that i found & it was just a desperate guess.

Mike, i am also a big fan of " The Sting " & there are a lot of scenes & quotes that i can easily & fondly remember but the name of one of the horses that Shaw was tricked into betting on would never have come to mind.
I am amazed that you could recall such a small detail.
I would have been even more impressed if you had used Doyle Lonnegan instead of Robert Shaw. ( i had to look that up )

And what a formidable team we would make.

I didn't come close so i have a rather long list, several of which come under the " i was sure that i played that " category.
My only excuse is the distraction of the Saturday races.
Jacki & Dox would probably suggest that i should spend a little less time playing chi & invest a lot more time studying the form in order to provide a decent winning tip.
Anyway, i missed otiose, soloist, toilette, vetoes, violist & votive.

Well this game has quickly brought us all back to earth with just 13 rosettes.
No problem though for mkenuk, dragonman & doxydaisy.
Dox, you may have been the last to get there but the positive side effect was all of the rare words that you found to post that impressive score on the open scoreboard so good on you for persevering to find that last common word.

If you do stick with her then i am confident that you can win your money back.

Another horse that i recommend that you follow is called Superstorm.
He got me out of trouble today thanks to a brilliant ride from the goat ( Damien Oliver ).
He is a class gelding that looks set for a big spring campaign.
