I could have had a crisis on my hands yesterday, but it was more that there were crises caused by being too short.

I made sure I was wearing heelless shoes before I attempted to perform a wheelie on the bike.

If I want the electrical interference to abate, I need to attune my antenna ( plural antennae).

Why did it take till my 2nd last word to find sassy...when I already had all the "other versions" of the word? Oh well, I thought, and smiled at the way my brain works. Not smiling now that I see my missed word was sissy when I already had all the "other versions" of that word  :-[

Hi Jacki.
If you scroll down, way below the puzzle, you'll come to a Question and Answer link. On that page there are several headings....go to "Other" and you'll find the answer to why it's called Chihuahua. I found it interesting.

The hotshot captain strutted about on the deck of the sloop whilst the boat sloshed about in the rough seas.

No frustration with being too short today. I was pleased to get as close as I did. I don't think any amount of forehead slapping would have helped me find oriole but perhaps I should have got miler.

I managed to find elitist and elitism but totally bypassed elite......amongst other forehead slappers! One of those puzzles I try not to think about afterwards.

Hi Jack. Could you please post a spoiler alert for your rebus from October 29? I couldn’t work it out and I can't find the answer....and it's bugging me!

My head must have been up in the treetop to have missed the recent rosette.

and Scouser1952… 😉😉😉 Tony, for some reason I looked at your profile and noticed you’re a Liverpudlian now living not far from my birthplace (Jordan Hill) and very close to my niece who also lives in Renfrewshire – it’s a small world (says he from Australia)…
Small world indeed....both my grandmothers lived in Scotstoun and I remember going on the ferry to Renfrew. I could "hear" my parents talking about Jordan Hill and Renfrewshire as I read your post RTT. It may be 60 years since they took the girl out of Glasgow, but you know what they say, you can't take Glasgow.........
