In the 10 letter for 28 November 2016, there were some players with 2 x 10 letter words, 1 rare, whereas I only got one, so I went to look it up but did not have the show all? checkbox...

What was the rare 10 letter word?

I tried dethorn and it was not accepted. Google finds many entries for dethorning roses, albeit sometimes with a hyphen, but also without.

I was very surprised that "easter" was classified as a rare word in yesterday's 10 letter SEAMSTRESS puzzle, while ester was common.

Words / Is "skun" a word?

Maybe it is just strine, or even a family word, but I have grown up thinking 'skun' (past irregular of 'to skin' - as in "skun like a rabbit") is a real word. But it wasn't allowed and wasn't in any dictionary I checked. Has anyone else heard of it?

I'm now in need of a Bex and a good lie down!

Alan, you did so well with 'onager', could I suggest another challenge. Is there a 9 or 10 letter word in which the letters are in alpha order so that the word appears in uppercase reading down the table.

I was disappointed that "hangi" was not accepted in the 4 January daily puzzle. Our kiwi cousins may be more disappointed.
