Have you missed seeing this one, Alan, or still have to do more research?

This is by far one of the funniest threads I have read in a long time. Just repeating the words sends me into paroxysms of laughter. I must clarify quickly, however, that I am laughing WITH you, not AT you!

Wow -- two words in a row you have acknowledged on my behalf, Alan - this calls for a double!!!  >:D >:D

Thanks, Alan - Nice that I finally found a word you deem legit.

As to the "evanescence", perhaps once there is a new alternative to communication through texting that is faster and easier (like, say Skype) to replace it, I expect it will be used for some time.

What a lovely way to find yet another musical path ... serendipity or the string theory ... (haha, couldn't resist!).

Any other opinions on this one? Apparently, just like myself, few chi-mates are actually experts in logging, but I believe this deserves a second look.

Words / possible spoiler - 10-letter Oct. 7
« on: October 07, 2011, 11:19:19 PM »
fricking -- I was shocked this was not on the list!! Well, perhaps just mildly miffed.

It's all over the internet, in various dictionaries, and I've heard it on the street, movies and TV.

Pretty much it's a derivative of "freaking" or a euphemism ..

The Farley free online dictionary even lists it, making it more surprising why it was not accepted, and is listed thus:

fricking [ˈfrɪkɪŋ] .. adj ... Slang (intensifier) surrounded by fricking idiots
[euphemism.

I sacrificed several points from accuracy double-checking that it would not go through. Hmmmmmmm.

I've always been a model of restraint and civility - you must be confusing me with someone else - probably T!>:D

Really?  >:D >:D >:D

Oh, yes ... and all those old jibs and jabs back in the "early" chi years when the hag foursome was swooping about were definitely NOT you??  ;)

I mostly heard meshugana (meshuga) on the streets of NYC so it was very familiar to me. Here in Texas you hear "loco," so it's all regional of course.

My favorite expression -- and more universally understood -- is the index finger circling next to one's temple! Coo-koo, coo-koo!!
