Hi all,

Thanks Alan for all the new words...there are some corkers in there..and a few blinders too!!!

No new messages from anybody today so i thought i would post one ..just for the hell of it really..

I see an old adversary is back after having been missing for a few weeks [namely animalist - another unregistered player!]
Where do you think they go?
But just like any addiction..they come back..
I am seriously thinking about starting up a 'Chihuahuas Anonymous' group for just those kind of folk...
i know i get withdrawal symptoms..!!

well 5 minutes to go till the new puzzle...best i get myself organised for it...

Till next time..

Hi anonsi and Alan,
i just read your replies and i am sorry i didn't reply sooner..i've been too busy reading and playing...

For your info;
Thomas Hardy lived 8 miles away from my house in a charming thatched cottage that is open to visitors. All his locations were local to me and i have visited most of them for various projects i have worked on.
If you ever watch the film 'Far from the madding crowd' it was filmed in Weymouth and my step-dad was an extra in it.
My daughters' Godfather was in the most recent version of 'Tess of the D'urbevilles'. [Check out his website ; www.davidrandall.net
2 Thomas Hardy's are celebrated in Weymouth, the author and 'the kiss me Hardy' Hardy. He has a huge memorial at Hardy's Monument.
In fact quite a few famous people lived/live around here including Lawrence of Arabia, and the author Minette Walters, who also uses local places in her novels, which are very good i might add. The French Lieutenants  Woman was filmed at Lyme Regis on the Cobb, with Meryl Streep and Jeremy Irons.

Here endeth todays literature lesson..
To anonsi..thank you for changing your details, i do like knowing where players come from, we are quite an international band of players aren't we?

Regards to all,
Technomc  :D

Hi all forum readers,

As a matter of interest [and because my knowledge of time zones is lousy] when the new game starts at midnight GMT, which is the time i go by here in the UK, what time is it where you are, where ever you are?

Hi B.B.B. and Linda,
or in my local Dorset dialect "Howdo me Deario's.
Here is a little poem about my County i thought you may like...

'Tis 'ere that skies be bluer,
'Tis 'ere that birds zing zweet,
'Tis 'ere that maids be truer
Than any maids you meet.
'Tis 'ere that earts br kinder
though words, mid be, but vew
'Twas 'ere that i did vind 'er
As zweet as marnin' dew.
An' bless 'ee, she be neater
than t'others iver be,
But ah! 'er smile is zweeter
When she d'look on me.
Zoo 'ere we'll bide for iver,
'Till we've a-growd real old.
And 'ere we'll rest tigether
Beneath the Darset mould.

I hope you understand it..

Word Games / 100% award
« on: March 19, 2007, 03:32:57 AM »

Hello Alan,

You seem to have covered just about everything now - the shuffle, the clear, the sounds, the new look, new words etc. etc. so when are you going to address the last big thing...... a 100% award..?????
The same message has flashed up for some time now....and it does say you haven't had time to prepare anything yet.....now is the time....maybe.... :-\
What do you think? I expect 'ussycat' may agree, especially today!

Cheers all.

Whatever / Re: savings time a mystery
« on: March 14, 2007, 10:53:42 AM »
Hi, me again..
this is twice in 5 minutes..[sounds familiar!!!!!]
Living in the UK our clocks change twice a year, in spring and autumn. At this time of the year i only have to wait till midnight for the new game, but come the start of 'official' summer it's 1am, and addict that i am, i often do. No wonder they think i'm a vampire at work! It's another good reason for campaigning against the changes. I apologise to all who are affected by our GMT, we hate it too! ???

HI,
Well this is my first time...so be gentle with me...  :-[
I suppose i am a real 'newbie' and proud of it.
I have had fun reading all the messages and ideas, and maybe i might come up with a few [although i doubt it, actually].
It's great to see where everyone comes from, i have always wondered where the competion was?
it would be brilliant to hear back from someone...anyone.....
Keep up the good work. ;)
