Hi Binks,

Yes we have to do something about those in the UK & US hogging all the water.  They keep promising to send it our way, but don't seem to be delivering on their promises.  Do you think that they really are politicians?

Had a glorious morning at preschool.  The kids danced to "The Eagle Rock" so that we oldies could reminisce.  They are so cute when they keep looking to see if you are watching them.  They just love showing off.  Could watch them all day!

Hi T & Threeb,

Sorry I didn't reply yesterday.  I was feeling rather down (work, work, work!) and didn't want to pass it on.  Feeling better today.  Hope work this arvo doesn't give me a relapse!

We had a good weekend.  No visitors!  We visited a glass workshop and did a tour - some interesting work - some very beautiful, some quite weird.  Also went to the flicks.

I'm off to pre-school this morning to see my great-nephew in action.  Always a great mood lifter.  Will have a coffee with my niece afterwards..... so the morning is looking good.

The doc says Dad has a virus - his breathing is very laboured.  Apart from that he is doing OK and getting on with life.

Beautiful spring weather here - my favourite time of year.  Though we do still need rain, rain, rain!

Thanks for keeping in touch. Have a good sleep T.

Hi T,

Yes we had a good time.  Played Mah Jong which was quite funny as I was the only who had ever played it and that was over 20 years ago!  It was all a bit of a muddle but we had some fun.  Was pretty tired at the end of the weekend, so now I'm looking forward to next weekend which at the moment is free! Hope it stays that way.

Starting to make some headway on the work front - but it is just painstaking work.  Don't know when life will get back to normal.  But then what is normal????????

Dad is having an aged care assessment tomorrow.  Don't know what will result from that - hopefully just some backup if ever we need it.

How are things with you?  Hope everything is settling down for you.

Hugs

Hi Viz,

Its just you and me at the moment.  How are you going? I have missed seeing your smiling face on the forum lately - always enjoyed your input.  Hope all is well with you.  I have been really busy so only ducking in now and then.

Hi T - nothing new in this neck of the woods unfortunately.  Had a busy week, and looking like a busy weekend.  Visitors on both Sat & Sun - why I ask do we do this to ourselves????????? Bed is calling me - my eyes are heavy, but just had to catch up on what was going on.  Hope you all have a great weekend.

Thanks Binks.  Hey I visited Brissie for the second time in 3 months last Friday and it was raining again!  Is it just me or is the drought over up there?  Have a nice day.

Hi Threeb and other forumites,

Yes I'm just having a quick check on the Forum before I face another day of work, work, work. At the moment there doesn't seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel, as far as work goes.  But I figure it will never go away if I don't get in and tackle it.

Dad has got a full day of entertaining friends while I am work.  One of his local mates is coming around for morning tea, and friends from Sydney are calling in for afternoon tea, so I can work all day without worrying about him at home by himself.

Hubby is just great - he has been doing all the washing and ironing while I get on with work.  He is worth his weight in gold and more.

Really miss playing Chi - just not enough hours in the day!

Hope everyone has a good day/afternoon/night.

Hi T et al,

Yes you can take it that I am busy......... I work all day, I work all night. Hopefully soon things will calm down and I can get back to Chi - I miss it and all the forumites.

Dad is going as good as could be expected.  Had a lovely weekend with my sister & brother-in-law visiting, and waiting now for my niece and little one to turn up for a visit.

Off to Binkie territory tomorrow for a work visit.

Hope everyone is doing well, and the UK contingent settling back into work happily.

Catch up with you all soon I hope.

Thanks Threeb.  Well, I've decided the last standard common word is beyond me and bed is beckoning - so enjoy your day and I will go and dream words.

Yes Threeb - no disasters thankfully - just too much work and not enough energy. As for age - I did attend a 60th birthday party yesterday, and caught up with some old (as in long term) friends who hadn't been together for a long time - nice reminiscing, but you realise you are getting on when the conversation turns to retirement plans etc. Still there were only a couple of people there younger than me so not quite in the geriatric ward yet!  I think a holiday needs to be planned!

Hi T,

Nice to hear from you.  I haven't been around much lately.  Lots of work... not much play ..... getting duller by the day.  Glad to hear your life is so full - enjoy it.
