Today's (Saturday 21 November) challenge has all its letters under the fingers of the left hand for touch typists using a QWERTY keyboard. One can play it one-handed! :-)

I think the plural of 'ess' -- esses needs to be added to the list.

On a point of interest, why do you think they do that? Surely it would be reasonable for buyers of dictionaries to assume that the larger the dictionary, the more comprehensive it is. The smallest dictionary should be the starting point, containing the most common words, and from then on it gets added to, rather than subtracted from. How peculiar.
Other than the obvious fact that smaller dictionaries are less expensive and take up less desk space, I don't see any attraction in a smaller dictionary. Of course, with the Internet constantly at hand, I doubt I'll purchase another dictionary.

I got lefty and fully expected lefties would be accepted -- especially after both telly and tellies were accepted!

IMO, lefty is by far the more common spelling. I'm not sure I've ever seen leftie.

Both gator and croc are shortened forms of similar (related?) animals. The former word is 'common'; the latter is 'rare'.ISTM both words should share the same category.

I was also surprised by the difference -- I thought of senor first and didn't try senora (not wanting to get more 'rare' words) until I got desperate.
