We have found that the La Gina brand passata sold at Woolworths in Australia to be far better than tinned tomatoes for pretty much every recipe that calls for tinned tomatoes no matter the length of time. And my husband has had his pasta recipes published so he knows what he’s doing and I love my food! Also, I don’t own a slow cooker, I call myself a slow cooker so I’m in complete agreement on taking time for a good meal however the La Gina passata is thicker, tastier and at $2.20 for 700ml is very good value.
Obviously this is a poor second to what Guy is talking about except for having the end result of a lovely meal!

Passata is a plain sauce made from tomatoes and used in cooking. Very widely available in major stores in Australia and I would think in Europe (since it originated in Italy I believe) and centuries old.

Whatever you decide will be ok with me. I don’t have a strong opinion on this.

Wishing you a wonderful birthday and all the best for the year ahead. I greatly appreciate at least three times every day what you do in the running of Chihuahua and it’s very selfless of you.

I certainly agree that neoplasm and pleonasm (wonderful anagrams though they are) should be reclassified however I think mausolea is common enough, to me anyway.

Ditto what Wibbly Bits said. I’ve heard of it, but only in the cartoon. Love Sylvester, he had style.

I know I don’t play the 7BM however I’ve never encountered these words in my day to day life.

Well I hate to dampen any word suggestions however I have never heard of rompers. I’m guessing they’re pyjamas or tracksuits?

This is my strategy learned from many different approaches. Firstly if you’re not sure about a word, don’t play it. If it is an anagram of other common words and you’re not familiar with it, it’s probably not common. Wait until you’re down to the last two to three common words outstanding before taking any risks.
A few years ago Mike (Mkneuk or similar) told me that Chihuahua was predominantly about anagrams, but not completely of course. You need to have a good memory and walk away and come back with fresh eyes - quite often it comes to you in the car, the shower or your dreams. But certainly repetition and failure help.
