Thank you for the birthday wish - it was a nice surprise.  I'm doing well and hope you (and all of the forumites) are also.

Hello all.....it's been awhile since I've been available to communicate - but here I am again.  My hobbies are fairly simple ones.  I love movies...all genres, all eras...while watching I go to www.imdb.com to learn everything about the story, producer, actors, etc.....

My other most time consuming hobby is my three dogs...which I would post a picture of if I knew how, black lab, yellow lab, rottweiler.  All are rescues from a local shelter and all have issues which keep me busy!  They are the love of my life.  (let's hope my children never read this!)

Thank you - all of you - for the nice birthday wishes.  I very much appreciate the warm thoughts.  I did have a nice day, nothing too spectactular, just the usual, which is exactly what I wanted.  My husband took me to lunch at my favorite restaraunt (I prefer going out to lunch over dinner), my oldest son shopped and shopped to find the perfect gift (he is 13), my youngest son (12) gave me, "a loving son".

I know I haven't been around in awhile - I play when I can and rarely have time for more than just a handful of words.  Where does time go?  ...and, more importantly, how do we get it back?

..BUT...the most important thing of all is, ALL IS truly WELL!

Thank you all, again.

Hey Binkie - I'm a few days behind - and I rarely have the opportunity to jump on here anymore - so I just had to comment......I read the thread about the tunnel to/from NY/London..... then visited the website.....absolutely amazing story.  That's what I love/miss about this forum - world news and current events.  This was quite an exhibit, from what I read.   This is something I would have remained completely ignorant about - if it weren't for you.  I think there must be a lot of people out there, like me...who read and rarely comment.  Just so all of you know - we are all benefitting from the conversations you all share.

I am by no means, a "Trekkie" - but I gotta tell ya - I have always had a fond spot for Jean-Luc Picard.

Happy 2008 to all.  I love the New Year - we all need a fresh start from time to time.

Thank you, Alan, for providing us the opportunity to all be "together" for the holiday.

Oh -  no fun to feel foul.  Very considerate of you trying not to pass it on.  I hope you feel better soon.  Try to make the most of your down time - watch old movies, eat ice cream out of the carton, stay in your pajamas all day - whatever will make you feel just a bit better.  Take care of yourself and send more smoke signals if you need anything.

Sorry T - didn't mean to omit you from the conversation!

Thanks for asking how I am this evening - I'm doing well and am hoping you are as well.  Sorry I didn't respond sooner - had a son appear after football practice requesting food.  I know better than not to feed the hungry beast.

I just adored the Carol Burnett show....they were insane people who obviously loved what they were doing.  No - none of that around today.  Everyone is way too serious and often offended.  That's pretty sad.  The variety show was always one of my favorites when I was growing up.  I remember Sonny & Cher, the Smother's Brothers.  (I had a crush on one of the brothers - can't remember which one now....) and we can't leave out Laugh In.  Now that was funny!!

Glad to see there are so many Kevin fans...I'm in good company.  I really enjoyed K-PAX, not quite as popular as his other work, but I loved it.

Thanks for posting the link to the Old Vic, that is something I was not familiar with.  Very interesting to read about.

Hey - sorry I missed you this morning.  I truly don't have as much time as I'd like in here.  I'm having a hard time remembering who's who, who's where, etc...but I'm trying.

Today is a good day - took 2 of my 3 dogs in for check ups, oldest son to football practice (first game of the season is tomorrow!), spent day cleaning dog fur and football clothes - my typical weekend.

Last night my family attended the Broadway production of The Lion King which is touring locally.  What an amazing show that was.  Tonight is movie night, we'll be watching "The Negotiater" with Kevin Spacey.  I just love him!  He's on my "short list" (anyone else have one of those - a list of people my spouse and I agree is OK if the opportunity arises?) ...so - anyway...  I wish I had more chat time in here.  3B I appreciate your efffort to keep me yapping.  I often think about posting (the lady w/6 kids and Pokeman cards made me LOL) but I rarely do.  I'm sure in time I'll jump in more.

I always wish the best for all forumites.  What an interesting community this is.  I'm glad to be a part of it.

Have wonderful weekends, decent weather and everlasting memories!

If our children's paths should ever cross they will immediately recognize one another - for mine are are also the smartest, most well behaved and best looking!  They must be the rare form of siblings from another mother!

No grandkids yet - my kids are 11 and 12.

My sister, who is 11 years older than me - is constantly telling me I'll sleep when I'm dead.  Made me laugh when I read your similar thoughts.

What about you 3B - any children or grands?
