Alan - don't think it has anything to do with gender - I've never heard of it before either.

Canberra has also signed up - much smaller than the other cities, but I guess every little bit helps.

Glad it was memorable. Just one question T.  When do we see some photos?

Hi T,

Yes I'm well and truly back in the banality of 'an ordinary working week' - our financial end of year was upon us and the next quarterly tax return is looming so have been busy trying to get it all done.

I'm counting down to a 2 week holiday starting 1 Mar.  Hopefully when I get back from that I will be able to hand over a lot of the work I have been doing to someone else, and have a more relaxing life.

We have only sorted out the essentials with Dad's things - waiting for my brother to return from overseas, and for more free time to sort through things - work out who wants what etc.  Can't manage to cope with that and keep up with work.

We went to a prom concert last evening in the grounds of the home of our Governor General (you know the one that represents your queen - a position a lot of Aussies want to get rid of!)  - the grounds are beautiful as was the music - a Spanish theme.  It was lovely to see families and friends out together enjoying good music in a relaxed atmosphere.

Glad that you are feeling so joyous at the moment.  Enjoy the anticipation of your big party (I think anticipation is often better than the event) - looking forward to hearing all about it.

Hugs

Thank Alan - I like that we are now on Eastern Australian Summer Time - helps my befuddled brain. Don't know about the non Aussies - but I reckon when the forum creator is Aussie its only fair!

I'm just totally confused (nothing new!) on the whole issue - I missed blues the other day because I didn't think it fitted the rules.

So sorry T.  But no you are not jinxed.  You will come through stronger than ever.  And don't forget that famous saying of yours ...."tomorrow will be different".  Keep smiling.

Hi T,

Just back from a glorious four day break up the north coast.  Enjoyed walking along the beaches, river cruise, watching dolphins, eagles etc and just having special time with my hubby.

Got back to a letter from Dad's super fund to say we have to pay back some of his last pay! Nice welcome home letter! but not really important in the scheme of things.  Still got lots to sort through, but not hurrying it.  Essentials all done and will just do the rest as the mood leads.  Back to work again for both of us tomorrow.

I'm sure you'll be getting heaps of responses soon for your party.  Glad to hear that it is all planned and I'm sure we'll all be waiting with bated breath to see a photo of you in your glam gear.

Thanks for caring.

Hi T,

How are you? I'm just about to head off to bed, but thought I'd just duck and check the forum first.  Been working hard so I can go away with a clear conscience on Friday.  Your girls party sounded fun.  Hope the plans for yours are going well.

Hi T,

Thanks for your kind thoughts.  We are doing OK - being a bit self-indulgent!  We're both back at work, but have booked a couple of holidays.  A long weekend in a couple of weeks time (north coast of NSW), and a couple of weeks at the beginning of Mar (south coast just for a change).  I'm looking forward to it, but meantime there are lots of loose ends that need to be tied up.  Gradually getting the essentials done.  Other things we'll just do as we feel like it.

How are you and the girls? Did you have hols over Christmas - I guess its different there to Oz where everything slows down for much of Jan.  Oz kids have their long summer holidays now.

It's starting to heat up in Canberra though I think down Alan's way they've had it pretty hot for a while.  I must say summer is not my favourite season - much easier to do something about the cold than the heat!

Well hope all is well with you and thanks once again for your kind thoughts.
