Not unheard of, but it didn't occur to me as a common pangram answer!

The  newly invented words that the Oxford dictionary allows would astound him and the idea that the general public can now vote for their new word of the year - Well words fail me never mind him!!

All words are invented.
The Oxford dictionary is a repository of language, not a gatekeeper of it.
Language is spoken and democratic; writing is just a reflection of that.

from the LUNCHTIME puzzle we get MILCH as a common word.  When you click on it all the meaning are preceded with [dated] or [archaic].  While playing I even thought of trying it but discarded the idea as an accidental Germanism.  So anyway I think it should not be listed as common.

ridethetalk refers to my 8,500 km bicycle journey around Australia in 2010 promoting energy efficiency because...

...climate change is a thing and my kids' futures are important to me.

Energy efficiency is (still) the quickest, cleanest and cheapest way to reduce carbon emissions. I did this on a pushbike because it's the most efficient form of transport ever devised. (I also met my wife through being in a cycle touring club.) I rode solo, towing a trailer with 40kg of gear, into towns; gave a two hour interactive talk that night and rode out the next morning - I wasn't walking the talk, I was riding the talk...  ;D ;D ;D
The greenest watt ever produced is the one you never use...

I read a book about a fellow who walked around Australia with a fridge on his back.  Its title was, shockingly, Round Ireland with a Fridge:

Yes, thank you Alan. Your wisdom and patience are amazing. Bravo!
Indeed, he is like unto a god.  I have started accumulating gold to create a life sized idol of Alan (as the Israelites did in Exodus 32) but it is a slow process as I have access to very few gold rings.  I will keep you all informed.

"Nuts" might be rejected as a plural, but I don't understand why suggon isn't accepted.

Words / Why isn't polyamory permitted?
« on: December 13, 2021, 05:33:45 AM »
I mean, consenting adults should be allowed to do whatever they want in their own homes.

...But also, on the word list.  I recently made a "your own" puzzle with these letters and was astonished, nay, utterly flabbergasted, to find that the game didn't recognize this extremely common word that is found in nearly every dictionary and Word spellchecker.
