Yes, the EHWI is a document reported in The Wall Street Journal on December 21, 2022 that was released by Stanford University to guide its web writers to correct diction.

Many Chi players are likely to find this listing more than entertaining and exasperating.

Perhaps someone with more sophisticated skills will be able to provide a link to it.

I suspect there will be passionate and lively responses.

Pat’s remark about not being able to unsee a mental image reminded me of this condition — which is a blank, or black mental movie screen.  The absence of a mind’s eye.

How rare is it?  As a word, it rates the Red Squiggle. As a matter of insight into….the diversity of perception, it’s intriguing.

Thanks to all
For being the reliable foundation everyday for word fun & diversion. For many excuses for ongoing procrastination from distasteful chores. For the banter and sense of community. Thru sickness & health (yes descending into mushy wedding affirmations). I am probably not singular in taking this wonderful global community of word aficionados for granted.

The occasion for this particular outburst of gushyness is my beloved dog of over 15 years. She is failing. My appointments for the next few days are all canceled so we can be together. I’ll continue to be in the game for as long as my butterfly mind can focus.

Looming over the sadness is the immeasurable gift of Maiko’s presence all these years. Be well my cyber friends & continue loving whatever is in front of you

Whatever / Absentee chihuahuans

My chum since 1972, known as Alonzo Quixote, sends regards to the Chi gang. Three years ago.he experienced an event involving an injury to his leg and has been in a rehab facility. Slowly, the leg is improving.  He lacks convenient access to devices that would enable him to participate here.
His hope is that within time, he will return home.  Meanwhile, he is safe and well cared for

Thank you for keeping him in mind.

This Forum / Seeing stars

So...
maybe the answer to this is obvious to everyone else but
I’ve noticed that underneath forum members name are stars.  Not to name names but
Some People have a lot more than others.  I have two.  Not that I care
In the least little way. Just curious. But Mine is gold and others are green.. not
That it makes any difference what color your stars are.  No judgment. I could care less.
I’m an adult.

I even scanned the many instructional and forum help areas to find out what the meaning of two (GOLD) stars is, which Alan probably went to a good deal of trouble to provide.  Bravely albeit, tentatively, I faced Technology, totally unarmed.  I emerged from my quest unenlightened.

No biggie.  Just sayin

Here in the USA it's Thanksgiving eve and I am happy to share that Alonzo called this evening with his now, working again, cell phone.  He sends you all the best.

My own good wishes go to all who observe this occasion, as well as to those who don't.  Although, personally I consider the turkey to be optional at best and would recommend loading up on the stuffing, gravy and dessert.

Enjoy the day!
