out of the 340 players 42 spelt it CESAREAN and 43 CAESAREAN.
I was the one that missed the alternative spelling.
I also missed SENESCENCE and CENSUSES.

Just one of those days.

Mike, I didn't get FASTBALL either but I agree with an extra beer  ;D

Its your sub conscious that is doing the work. Your forebrain delegates problems (like most managers ) and when handed a solution takes the credit ( like most managers ).The best way to solve a problem is not to think about it...thats why we sleep on it.

You got your wish Mike.
Nicola Sturgeon is banning trump from Scotland, citing Covid as the excuse.

America is near enough for us for him for those of us in the UK.

It was 1960 and Dave was going to take Linda out to a dance for their first date.
When he arrived to pick her up her mother invited Dave in explaining Linda was not quite ready.
''Linda does like to screw '' she informed Dave '' she will screw all night if you let her. I hope you have the energy to keep up with her and enjoy yourselves''
Dave was flabbergasted and looked forward to the evening even more.

Four hours later Linda returned home, flustered and disheveled.
She went to her mother and shouted,

''Its called THE TWIST Mother, THE TWIST !!!!''

I will add my thanks to Alan too, and endorse the previous comments. I think I have played every game in 2020 and always enjoy them.

Thanks too to Jack and Penny for their posts, full of banter, jokes, puzzles and friendship. Brings a smile each day, a needed tonic in this blighted year.

A HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone

A True Story

It was Boxing Day 1979, I was living in a Leicestershire village called Wymondham, in the pub called The Berkley Arms.
The Hunt was coming back from a long and (thankfully) fruitless day. All of the horses looked tired but the one ridden by Lady Caroline Fairfax~Smythe looked particularly distressed.
Old George was leaning against the rail round the pub, pipe in one hand, pint in the other and tut tutting at the state of the mounts,
George called out to lady Caroline as she was going by '' Caroline, thy horse looks knackered''
Without turning Lady Caroline replied '' George, you would be knackered if you had spent the last six hours between my thighs..

A man and his wife were going to go to a Halloween party but his wife had a headache and took aspirin and went to bed, She said her husband should go alone as they had costumes and it was a shame to waste them. He reluctantly agreed saying it would not be fun without her.
After an hours sleep she woke up and the headache had gone so she decided to go to the party. Her husband didn't know what her costume looked like so she thought she would see what he was up to.  She arrived at the party to see him dancing with a woman and putting his hands everywhere. She sidled up to him and he switched his attention to her. She let him put his hands wherever he wanted to, after all she was his wife. They snuck away to a bedroom and he had his wicked way with her. She left before the unmasking and went home to bed.
A short time later her husband came home.
''How was the party? '' she asked

'' It was a bit dull without you '' he said '' so Jim, Bill, Jack and me went to his den and played poker, but the guy I lent my costume to said he had a great time!.''
