Title: HAMMIEST in yesterday's RHEUMATISM ten letter game

Hammiest common? Really? Hammy - hammier - hammiest. Do any of these seem common?

I've seen these words used to describe bad acting; I can't remember the exact quotation but it was along the lines of 'The British soap opera Crossroads ran for years and attracted huge viewing figures. It's difficult to explain its popularity especially as the acting was among some of the hammiest ever seen on our screens'.

Whatever, I do think that the two words hammier and hammiest should have the same common/uncommon classification - probably the latter.

I vaguely recall having this conversation with you before. Maybe I should check my thesauri first!

The classification of hammiest was raised in 2017 (https://theforum.lexigame.com/index.php?topic=3575.msg55050#msg55050) by oldpaul, and is still awaiting my consideration.
