Players on the lexigame site may have noticed a recent period of a few hours when the scoreboard remained blank. This was caused by a problem with the database which also created some inconsistencies between the data on the two Chihuahua sites.
The inconsistencies in the daily puzzles have now been largely fixed up, but there are still some differences between the two sites in "Your Puzzles". Apologies for any confusion.
There remains a risk of some oddities affecting daily puzzles for the 1st and 2nd of April. To avoid any such risks you can click on the Reset button (below the Forum Latest box).

When I pressed Reset, Chinwag disappeared...
-
Possibly just a coincidence, yelnats. Chinwag occasionally disappears - I don't know why. Usually you can get it back by switching to a different puzzle and back again.
-
We (davmar and cmh} can't get Lexigame only Puzzle. We normally use Lexigame. Yesterday I saw Bintja (spelling?) again briefly then everything disappeared. Tried again this morning on both our laptops and no joy with Lexigame even after reset. Tried both Alt site and going in via google.

It's bitninja, cmh. If that's the cause of your problems, it usually clears itself after a day or so. One thing that might correct the problem right away is to turn your modem off and on.
-
No joy with turning it on and off again! I'll wait a couple of days and see if Lexigame comes back again!

Not a biggy, but I no longer get the NEW label for the 'Forum Latest'. Even tried refreshing the entire page without success.
-
Think I can help with that one as I lose it a lot after my computer security stuff does a re boot or whatever. Check the top left of the page on forum and I think you will find you are no longer logged in as a member.

That's been intermittent for me for a long time now.

Nope. I can use another tab to click on the Forum and I'm still logged in.

Sorry. That was my only idea! Over to the computer experts!

I'm having similar problems ... no notification of new Forum posts! Not vastly important in the grand scheme of things but it would be nice to have notifications back again, if possible. I don't ask for much .....
-
I wonder if it is a specific equipment or operating system problem.
We have an iPad and an iPad mini using IOS 12 and a windows 10 laptop and are getting the notification on all of them on both lexigame and chihuahua-puzzle websites.
What equipment and operating systems are those people having problems using?
-
I'm using the same PC I built a year or so ago, Manjaro Linux, Cinnamon Desktop, Vivaldi browser. ;D
-
Yes, it could also be the browser. We use Safari on the iPads and Mozilla Firefox on the laptop.

I've found everything to be so darn slow. Can't seem to get up the scores at present. Several (many) times I've been blocked by
BitNinja asking me to say I'm not a robot. And, just now, I've had a time-out message. Very frustrating but not sure it's the fault of Chihuahua/Lexigame. Could be just my server.
-
I'm still not able to access Lexigame. I find things a bit slow and generally just a bit weird. Bitninja still blocks Lexigame and I can't work out what it wants me to do to get rid of it. Last time this happened I spent hours trying to convince it I'm human! I was blaming my laptop doing yet another "update" which generally wipes anything I use on a regular basis so I am not sure what is the problem - Chi or my system.
-
The last couple of times I've been visited by this Bitninja pest, I've done a system restore and that seems to work - at least temporarily.
Just make sure that anything that you have recently downloaded and want to keep is safely backed up onto a USB flashdrive or onto a hard drive.
It doesn't take long and is so easy that even non-computerists like me can do it.
Look for it in your Control Panel.
