On behalf of all the users of Chihuahua and Chinchilla (casual, regular and addicts), may we all wish you a Happy Christmas & New Year, and thank you again for running this great site.

I'd give you a fifth (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fifth_(unit)), but I don't think it'd travel through the internet very well. Happy holidays!

My first home computer was a hand me down laptop from my older brother which  , If I didn't want it  ,was going to be thrown in the bin.
So he sets it up for me & knowing how much I like crosswords he registers me for this Chi site.
Of course , I love it straight away but with it being my first interactive experience on the internet , I really struggled with the concept that I was playing with people from all around the world.
As a novice , I had all sorts of problems trying to understand the intricacies of Chi as well as simple computer functions such as how do I attach an avatar .
Alan ( who has the patience of an angel ) along with a lot of other forumites , spent a lot of time answering my naïve questions , not only about Chi but basically ,they taught me how to use a computer,

Have a nice Christmas , Alan & indeed all forumites.

Cheers Les

I've been away in the north-east of Thailand for the last few days. My Internet access up there is very limited, so this is my first chance to add my best wishes to the ever-growing list.

Thanks for everything, Alan

Mike

Dear Alan

Thanks for your computer wizardry in bringing this wonderful game to all of us every day.  I just love it and my day would not be complete without playing at least the standard puzzle.  Mike, I can't imagine how you coped in Thailand without your daily fix of chi!

Christmas greetings and well wishes to everybody out there and here's hoping for a peaceful 2018.

Linda

I recently had internet outages for about 6 - 8 hours most days over about a week and what amazed me was that I could still play chihuahua. I asked Alan how he did it (off forum) and he has explained that it can preload games for regular players, so Mike, if you take the same device that you use at home away with you, you may be able to play a number of games.

Alan doesn't just have wizardry, but pure genius (and this from someone who wrote 4 and maintains 5 websites).

In fact, in the North-East of Thailand, I'm not entirely without Internet; I can access Chi through my smartphone;
however I can't normally be bothered to play a full game that way; I sometimes jot down the letters and play the 'old-fashioned' way with a paper and pencil; sometimes I stop after finding the 'big word'.
Whatever, I'm seldom without my daily 'fix'.

Belated but sincere good wishes for the new year, Alan. Chihuahua and its forum have been two of the good parts of my years since I joined some years ago.
