Title: Cyberscape
Post by: rogue_mother on February 22, 2015, 04:07:41 AM
I wonder if I am the only person who tried cyberscape in yesterday's ten-letter puzzle (CYBERSPACE). It is perhaps too new a word to be included in print dictionaries, but Wiktionary (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/cyberscape) has several quotes dating back to 1997.

Cyberscape doesn't seem to have made it into any more dictionaries in the years since your suggestion, RM: it's still only in Wiktionary. As for the word's usage, I got 35 hits in the News on the Web corpus, but then found that 30 of them were referring to a Manila office building of that name. If the word comes into wider use in future it may have a case for us to accept it, but for now I'm not convinced.
