Respool

I was thinking in terms of respooling thread for sewing, but in Googling, I see it is used for respooling all sorts of things from film, to thread, to fishing reels.

Agrred, anonsi. The word's not in dictionaries, as far as I can see, but it is a valid construction, and used, as you say, in various contexts. I'll add respool, respooled and respooling to the list as rare words.
