May I be the first to offer you many happy returns of the day! Will be busy running around tomorrow, so I wanted to make sure I got the felicitations in on time!
-
Thank You for the felicitations!
Here it's about 45 minutes before midnight, so my birthday is about to begin soon.
We've had exceptionally good weather here this week. Cool, clear nights and warm, dry, sunny days.
-
Happy birthday from me too, AQ. Hope the coming year is a good one for you.
-
A very, very Happy Birthday to you, AQ. Let's hope that the next year brings you great things. :) :) :)
-
Cheers from me too, AQ, and the best of what the next year can bring! Hang in there! (http://skins.hotbar.com/skins/mailskins/em/110103/110103_birthday_cake_prv.gif)

Alonzo Quixote,
I hope you have a very Happy Birthday! And I'm glad to hear your weather has been beautiful for it! And I agree; we've had a last hurrrah of summer here, too, and it has been fantastic.
-
Happy birthday, don Alonzo! Sounds like you're having the same beautiful weather up there that we're experiencing Inside the Beltway. Here's hoping you get your fill of birthday cake or whatever it is that will please you on your special day.
-
Thank you for all your birthday wishes!
It certainly is turning out to be a most wonderful day in the weather department.
-
Belated wishes from me too. Hope you had a lovely day with lots of yummy treats.
-
And a belated one from me too Alonzo. I've been too busy to visit chi for a couple of days. I hope the year ahead is filled with all the things you most wish for yourself.
-
I hope you had a fab day AQ... and here's to many more...
Happy Birthday.
-
Sorry it's late - AQ but Happy Birthday. Hope you had a fab day!! :)
-
So AQ..
How about it...meeting up for a coffee in NY that is??
It would be a tragedy for us to come all that way and not get together with you to say hello...
Have a think, but i would understand completely if you didn't want to...
-
Oh yes, you really must meet, AQ. Then you can let us know how T is behaving herself in New York! Another meeting of forumates......this could be the beginning of something big. Perhaps we should start organising the 2010 World Chihuahua Conference. :D
-
I will not be able to get together with you. But I would like to say hello to you when you are here. Will you please let me know where you will be staying and I will be in touch with you.
-
We are staying at The Milford Plaza AQ...
More details later...
-
!!! *I* stayed at the Milford Plaza! Creepy!
-
Maybe you could take out an ad in the Village Voice, T.
-
T, it occurs to me that my previous post, about taking an ad in the Village Voice, could be taken the wrong way by anyone familiar with that paper's reputation for kinky personal ads. Believe it or not, I didn't have those ads in mind at all. I was simply trying to make the point that I was surprised you were posting so much detail about your plans on a public forum.
On the other hand, if you do want to put a personal ad in the Voice, that's entirely your own business.
-
TMI? >:D
-
Gosh, Alan, now you're inspiring me to go look at the Village Voice's ads. I think the only ones I checked were the real estate ones, which used to be much more useful than the NYTimes ads, because the Voice came out on Thursday, so you could get a jump on checking apartments on the weekend.
Don't worry about TMI, T - they don't know your real name!
-
Thanks, i hadn't thought of that Viral....but i'm not unduly worried..should i be????
What does TMI mean ???
Anonsi, what was the hotel like? Am i going to be sorry!?!?
Viral, what kind of kinky ads??? My curiosity is aroused now - but nothing else at this stage!!
-
TMI = too much information
The Milford Plaza is a very nice hotel in midtown Manhattan. It is not too far from all the main midtown sites that you may likely wish to see. I don't think you have anything to worry about. It should be safe and clean with a clientele of respectable guests.
Regarding the advertisments in the Village Voice, some of them border on the naughty. (I should say that I haven't actually looked at the Village Voice in a couple of years, but they have always been quite liberal.)
-
It's a pretty nice hotel, T. They're going through a bit of a renovation right now. Which I didn't notice other than they had terrible internet service. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay. PLUS, I got free truffles! (I'm easily pleased.) I found their elevators to be very unique, as you entered your floor number into a keypad before you got on the elevator. As AQ says, it's not too far from anything.
-
Thanks for the info guys....
I am even more excited now...
-
Oh I know just how you are feeling T! Is there anything in the world better than being on the brink of a holiday to some place you have always wanted to see? Just reading your posts makes me remember those good times. Have fun girl!
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! :) :-R :P :police: (lol and thats coming from a teacher) :-C
-
More congratulations in store for you today AQ...
Top of the leader board with all the accolades that goes with it....
Well done you...
-
Good for you, AQ!
-
Thank you.
